Martin County Tax Collector, Ruth Pietruszewski, Announces The Creation Of: America’s 250th Anniversary License Plate

In honor of America’s 250th birthday in 2026, the department has created the America’s 250th Anniversary license plate. The new America’s 250th Anniversary license plate will only be available for original, replacement, transfer and personalized reservation issuances beginning in December 2025.

The America’s 250th Anniversary license plate will have a center logo design and will follow the same requirements as the current regular graphic license plates. The license plate will be renewable throughout the 10-year license plate cycle.

The America’s 250th Anniversary license plate does not replace the standard graphic license plate; it is a new limited license plate available upon request by the customer. The new plate is “in stock” now at Martin County Tax Collector offices. A limited number of plates have been made.

Counties will be able to order the license plate; however, orders will be monitored by the Inventory Control Unit to limit over production for this limited license plate.

Happy Birthday, America!
