More than 400 pet lovers and their dogs are expected to participate in the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast’s 22nd annual Mutt March on Saturday, Jan. 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Family and friends—both furry and not—will be coming for a morning walk around Memorial Park, 300 S.E. Ocean Blvd., along with other engaging activities. The event is free and dog-friendly. No other domestic pets are permitted to attend.
Visitors also will have an opportunity to shop the “flea-less” market, enter the popular pet costume contest, have their pet run a lure course, meet adoptable animals, experience a kids’ zone and the Camp Bow Wow Stuart Doggy Playground, make a memory at the Humane Society’s photo booth, enjoy food trucks and buy raffle tickets with all proceeds benefiting the Palm City shelter animals.
Lately, “Pawlitics” have been “ruff,” so this year, for the first time ever, the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast will name the first Honorary Dog Mayor of Palm City! Nominations are in, so the public may cast their vote until Jan. 23 to see who will be honored with this title. The dog with the most votes will be sworn in as the inaugural Dog Mayor of Palm City at the start of the event. Vote and learn more at https://hstc1.org/Post/Mutt-March.
The Mutt March also serves as the “paw-fect” platform for business owners looking to connect with potential customers in a fun and spirited atmosphere.
“We invite businesses to join the festivities while helping us raise critical funds for our shelter pets by becoming a Mutt March vendor,” said Community Events Manager Alyssa Bean. To fill out the vendor agreement, go online to https://hstc1.org/files/galleries/Mutt_March_Vendor_Application_2026-0001.pdf and return to [email protected] by Jan. 3, 2026.
The Mutt March is generously sponsored by Sunny 107.9 FM, Apex Pavers and Pools, TC Palm and Sea Coast Air Conditioning & Sheet Metal Inc.
